The USCIS and the Immigration Court increased their fees to file an asylum application, and to apply for the work permit based on a pending asylum application.

As of July 22, 2025, the fee to file an asylum application with the USCIS or the Immigration Court is $100.

The fee to file the initial work permit based off a pending asylum application is $550.

The fee to renew your work permit based off a pending asylum application is $275.

To help to further explain these new fees, we have created a video.
